Community Rail Lancashire promotes ‘active travel’ and walking for health and supports a series of guided and self-guided walks that are accessible by train.
These include twice a month guided walks from stations across the four lines of the CRL network, self guided town trails and station to station walks on the South Fylde and Bentham Lines.
CRL also have commissioned a local creative film company Huckleberry Films to make some films to encourage people to get active and go by train to explore Lancashire by rail and on foot. These can be seen on this link: Explore Lancashire by Rail
