Saturday 13 July 2024 sees two guided walks using the Yorkshire Dales Explorer service. Both walks are led by the Lancashire Rail Ramblers (LRR) and details can be seen below.
Walk 1 is strenuous grade A walk of 12.5 miles – Alight Horton in Ribblesdale return Ribblehead.
Ingleborough & Whernside
Horton in Ribblesdale – Sulber Nick – Fell Beck Head – Ingleborough Summit – Humphrey Bottom – Southerscales Scars – Hill Inn – Philpin Lane – Bruntscar – Whernside Summit – Old route to Winterscales Farm – Batty Green – Ribblehead.
Walk 2 is a moderate grade E walk of 8.5 miles – Alight Horton in Ribblesdale return Ribblehead.
Horton in Ribblesdale – New Houses – Fawber – Top Farm – Ribble Way – Old Ing – Ling Gill Bridge – Scald Bank – Nether Lodge – Ribble Way – Thorns – Ribblehead House – Ribblehead.
