Whistle The Dog Visits Clitheroe Castle

Last week Whistle the Dog, Northern’s ‘new’ mascot stopped by on various travels to call in specially at Clitheroe Castle to give out the prizes to the winners of the Whistle the Dog colouring competition which took place during ‘Train Month’ at the castle in February.

There were goodie bags for all the winners and first prize included a Northern Family Weekend Explorer rail ticket – all handed out by Whistle the Dog with Euan Hilton, the Citheroe Station Manager. Eleanor’s mum (Eleanor won the first prize) has promised to share with us where the family goes on their rail trip, so we look forward to hearing all about it. Second prize included a ticket to heritage sites run by Lancashire County Council.

It was Whistle’s first visit to Clitheroe and they were so pleased to join in the celebrations and have photos taken with the winners.

Project funded by CRN’s Community Rail Development Fund in partnership with Community Rail Lancashire, Clitheroe Castle and Northern.
