Community Rail Lancashire and the West of Lancashire Community Rail Partnership are pleased to report that they have been able to make a £600 donation to help support a 24 Hour Veterans Walking Football Charity Event.

The event in Southport is to raise money to create memorials at the three schools attended by the three young girls tragically killed at a Taylor Swift themed dance event in Southport on 29 July 2024. It is hoped that the money raised will see memorial gardens created in the grounds at each school and also see some ‘talking benches’ installed.
The event is taking place at the Dunes Leisure Centre, Victoria Way, Southport PR8 1RX (20 mins walk from Southport Station) with a kick off time of 10:00.
