Tracks of Life Colouring Competition Winners

Saturday 15 August saw the winners of the All Aboard Children’s Colouring Competition, linked to the Tracks of Life exhibition at Clitheroe Castle Museum, receiving their prizes.

Arthur, grandson of Community Rail Officer Brian Haworth, is a keen railway enthusiast and has loaned some of his favourite Thomas the Tank Engine articles for the exhibition. Over all winner Eleesi at Clitheroe Castle Museum

Claire Sutton, Museum Manager, Clitheroe Castle said “It was fantastic to see so many of All Aboard Colouring Competition winners attend Clitheroe Castle Museum to collect their prizes. We’ve had a wonderful year working with Community Rail Lancashire and it has been a pleasure to celebrate the creativity and enthusiasm of so many young people through this partnership.”

Northern’s Community and Sustainability Manager Martin Keating said: “Congratulations to the winners of the All Aboard colouring competition. This is a fantastic accomplishment by all concerned. The Tracks of Life exhibition has been a tremendous achievement and this is a testimony to who all those who have contributed to its success”.

Mike Cliffe, Chair of the Clitheroe Line Community Rail Partnership said “It was great to welcome the competition winners and families back to Clitheroe Castle so that they could collect their prizes. Congratulations to all involved!”
