Network Rail are due to start work to relay 3km of track through Summit Tunnel on the Calder Valley Route between Todmorden and Rochdale.

The work is due to start on Saturday 23 October 2021 for nine days and trains will be replaced by buses between Rochdale and Hebden Bridge and will affect services between Manchester Victoria and Leeds and also the service between Manchester Victoria and Blackburn via the Todmorden Curve.
