The Department for Transport have just published the list of the bids received in round three of the Restoring Your Railway Fund. The Community Rail Lancashire area has three bids on the list.

The three bids are:
+ To reopen Midge Hall Station on the Preston to Ormskirk Line (see photo above)
+ To reopen the Burscough Curves allowing connectivity between Preston and Southport
+ A capacity enhancement project (passing loop) between Rose Grove and Colne on the East Lancs Line
Community Rail Lancashire wished all the bidders good luck in progressing to the next stage with their projects.
