Every year the office of Rail & Road (ORR) publish their estimates of passenger usage for every station in the united Kingdom. Community Rail Lancashire (CRL) extract the figures for the stations along the various CRL community rail lines in Lancashire including the Yorkshire Dales Explorer (YDE) stations.
The spreadsheet shows the percentage increase (or decrease) for each station from the figures for 2023/24 and some significant increases can be seen especially at Brierfield, Burnley Central, Croston, Moss Side, New Lane, Orrell, Pleasington, Salford Central, Todmorden, Upholland and stations along the YDE route.
Some disappointing decreases can be seen at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Clitheroe, Langho, Meols Cop, Mill Hill (Lancs), Ramsgreave 7 Wilpshire and Squires Gate, which all may be explained by the recent poor Sunday services where trains are often replaced by a bus service.
