Yesterday, Thursday 15th November, the Department for Transport launched its new Community Rail Development Strategy at Millom station in Cumbria.

CRL is an umbrella organisation that works with the four Lancashire Community Rail Partnerships i.e the East Lancashire CRP, the Clitheroe Line CRP, the West of Lancashire CRP and the South Fylde Line CRP. CRL also maintains close contact with the Bentham Line CRP.
CRL Ltd is a company limited by guarantee and employs 5 staff to deliver a variety of projects across Lancashire and who provide considerable support to the four Lancashire CRPs. One of the key projects developed by CRL is its ‘Educating Passengers of the Future’ educational programme which also includes the Railway Confidence Programme and work with Northern apprentices.
