Community Rail Lancashire (CRL) is very pleased to announce that Karen Bennett, Team Leader of the Education Team, was appointed to the Board of the Community Rail Network at the Annual General Meeting yesterday afternoon.
Karen said; ” I am delighted to be joining the Board and I am looking forward to playing a role in shaping the future direction of the Community Rail Network.”
Richard Watts, Chair CRL, welcomed the news about Karen’s election to the Community Rail Network Board and commented; “Karen will be an excellent Board member and her knowledge and passion for engaging with young people will be invaluable as the Board looks at how it can develop this important area of Community Rail work.”
The Community Rail Network is the membership body for nearly 70 community rail partnerships and represents over 1000 station adoption groups. We support our members to be effective in benefiting their communities and railways, socially, environmentally and economically.
