The Friends of St. Anne’s Stations, a new station partnership group, saw their coffers increase with a grant from Fylde’s Community Project Fund.
Wednesday 7th September 2016 saw a small ceremony take place at St. Anne’s-on-the-Sea railway station when Cllr Christine Akeroyd, Mayor of Fylde presented Tony Ford from the Friends group and Chair of the South Fylde Line CRP a cheque for £300. The money is earmarked to be used for station improvements.
The same day also saw Community Rail Lancashire’s new starters introduced to the South Fylde Line. They met up with Tony and the Friends Group at St. Anne’s and were given a short version of the Town Trail (download a PDF of the St. Anne’s Town Trail here).
