Forged in Steam will see a Railway 200 themed exhibition at the Haworth Art Gallery in early January 2026. Community Rail Lancashire will facilitate a number of local schools in the Woodnook area of Accrington to visit the gallery to attend the exhibition and get involved in sessions with local artists and also to here a story telling session by a local author covering railway safety.

The grant of £6,300 will be used to support the production of the exhibition material and also to support a number of artist sessions for local schools.

More information about the exhibition and the walking & cycling trail will be available soon.
