The prestigious awards ceremony took place on Thursday evening at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, where hundreds gathered to celebrate the achievements of Hyndburn’s business community. CRL was proudly represented by Dave Savage and Shahiesta Raja, who accepted the award on behalf of the entire team.

The Hyndburn Business Awards celebrate local organisations that make a meaningful and lasting impact in the borough. CRL is proud to be recognised alongside such inspiring nominees and congratulates all other finalists and winners.

But the celebrations didn’t stop there!

On Friday 12 June , Richard Watts was honoured at the Church & Oswaldtwistle Rotary Awards, where he was presented with a Paul Harris Fellowship a prestigious accolade awarded by Rotary Clubs to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment and service to their communities.

Richard was presented with a certificate and a distinctive Rotary pin to celebrate the honour. It’s a well-deserved recognition of his amazing dedication to community rail and the support he’s shown to the Rotary Club over the years.

Richard Watts, Chair Community Rail Lancashire, commented: “It has been a great two days for CRL. Firstly we won first place in the ‘Not for Profit’ category at the Hyndburn Business Awards and then I received recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow at an awards ceremony hosted by the Church & Oswaldtwistle Rotary. The awards are a wonderful reflection of the great work being undertaken by the whole CRL Team in supporting our local communities and railways. This is something we will continue to do and build on.”
