Back in October 2016 the Department for Transport’s Positive Support Group (PSG) held an Inclusion Week, which was all about raising awareness of why having inclusive workplaces and a diverse workforce is so important.
When it was agreed that the DfT’s Inclusion Week was to be themed around communities the PSG and Passenger Services sponsored Community Rail Market Day was born. Community Rail Lancashire were invited to attend the market day to promote their ‘Passengers of the Future’ project being led by the CRL Education Team (see news item http://www.communityraillancashire.co.uk/news/community-rail-market-place/).
Following the weeks events and the market day the DfT’s staff network have published a special edition of their newsletter with an introduction by Philip Rutman, Permanent Secretary and edited by Kulvinder Bassi, Community Rail Team Leader.
