CL&ELCRPs Annual General Meeting

The Clitheroe Line and East Lancashire Line Joint Community Rail Partnerships held their Annual General Meeting on Thursday 17 April 2025.

 

Chair of the partnerships, Mike Cliffe welcomed the large number of attendees to the meeting. Introductions were made for those who had not attended a meeting before and then the floor was given to Craig Harrop, Regional Director, Central & West for Northern Railway.

Craig gave a presentation updating the group on activities within Northern and covered such issues as:

+  The Pathway to High Performance
+  Training Delivery & Resources
+  Industrial Relations issues and Sunday working
+  New Train Procurement
+  Working with CRL
+ Yorkshire Dales Explorer

Northern’s first Smart training simulator prototype has arrived in the business

Mike Cliffe, Chair of the Joint CRPs than gave his annual report via a presentation and covered these points:

+  Strong recovery in passenger numbers especially at Accrington and Burnley Manchester Road
+  Reaccreditation
+  Success of the Yorkshire Dales Explorer
+  Integrated Sustainable Travel Fund
+  Community Rail Week
+  Community Rail Awards
+  From Church and Oswaldtwistle to Accrington and Beyond: By Train, Foot and Bicycle

Next came the election of officers for the next 12 months and both Mike Cliffe (Chair) and Richard Watts (Partnership Secretary) were re-elected nem con. The post of Vice Chair remains vacant.
