The Brief Encounter Café on Carnforth station has been awarded ‘Café of the Year 2014’ by the Kendal and District Cycle Scene. The café beat the two runners-up The Lunesdale Bakery (Kirkby Lonsdale) and The Churchmouse (Barbon). Andrew Coates the owner/manager of the café was very pleased to receive this accolade and the trophy takes pride of place on the counter.
