Community Rail Lancashire (CRL) in partnership with Northern and working with the National Autistic Society have created the UK’s first Autism Friendly Railway Line.
The Autism Friendly Line runs between Blackburn and Manchester Victoria via Todmorden and a recent development has seen CRL working with local film makers Huckleberry Films to make a series films about the stations that the service calls at. The films are designed to give those who lack confidence in rail travel an insight about the station layout, how to buy tickets and how to safely join the train. The series of films can be seen on the Autism Friendly Line YouTube channel by clicking the QR code below.
The films can also be found on a page under the projects drop down menu at the top of this page or by clicking this link: Autism Friendly Line.
