Pat, together with her late husband, Frank, were original members of the DalesRail leaders’ team being volunteer National Park Wardens in the Yorkshire Dales. They led walks from the train from its inception in 1975. After Franks death, Pat continued to lead walks from DalesRail through to her early 80’s. Pat was a stalwart member of the Ramblers’ Association and was Footpath Secretary for Clitheroe Ramblers for decades. During those years she worked tirelessly to ensure that the public footpath network was well maintained and used.
