On the 30th of July 2019, Community Rail Lancashire and Northern launched the UK’s first Autism-Friendly Railway Line, running from Blackburn to Manchester Victoria via Todmorden.
The line includes specialist staff training, tailored line information guides and specific resources.
It is vital that we continue to work to make rail accessible for all, including those with less-visible and hidden disabilities and needs, to ensure every member of our communities has access to every opportunity.
