Community Rail Lancashire is pleased to announce that Marion Atkinson, Chair of the West of Lancashire CRP (WoLCRP), has been elected to the Board of the Association of Community Rail Partnerships (ACoRP).

Marion has been involved in community rail for over ten years as a rail support officer with Merseytravel and currently chairs two CRPs, WoLCRP and the Borderlands CRP. Marion is also Chair of the award winning Women in Community Rail (WiCR) organisation, which encourages diversity and inclusion. WiCR is becoming recognised as a strategic player in the community rail world and strongly supports the four key themes in the DfT’s new Community Rail Development Strategy.
Marion has skills in many areas but believes that marketing and effective communication are the two areas where she will be able to provide support to the ACoRP Board.
