Liverpool Lime Street Incident

On Tuesday 28th February part of a retaining wall on the approach to Liverpool Lime Street station collapsed bringing down over head lines and damaging signalling. No train are able to operate in or out of Lime Street and emergency plans are in place.

The damage was caused from a third party property which has resulted in destabilisation in a number of structures which will be required to be demolished / removed before examination can commence of the retaining wall, as a result of the tons of rubble which fell on the track cannot be removed until this work has been carried out. The initial for completion of works/repairs is Monday 6th March 2017.
