Work has started in earnest on the ‘All Together Now’ project at Pleasington station.
The transfer of the smaller recycled plastic planters from Mill Hill station was carried out today by Stuart and Mark from the East Lancashire ISS team ably assisted by Station Manger Chris Ingham. The smaller planters are better suited to Pleasington’s narrow platforms and Mill Hill station is due to get some larger planters over the next few weeks.
‘All Together Now’ is a project that will see groups from local primary schools, Stanley Grange, a voluntary organisation which specialises in working with people of all ages with cerebral palsy, autism and epilepsy, the Young Weavers, the children’s arm of a local cycling group and students from Mysercough College working to improve the station environment.
