CL&ELCRPs Quarterly Meeting July 2026

The Joint Clitheroe Line & East Lancashire Community Rail Partnerships (CL&ELCRPs) held their quarterly meeting on 23 July 2026. The well attended meeting was held on line via Microsoft Teams.

Chair, Mike Cliffe (LCCA), welcomed everyone to the meeting and the minutes from the last meeting held in March 2026 were approved.

Secretary Richard Watts (CRL) then gave a general update on activities via a PowerPoint presentation including the following points:

+  Feedback from the station adopters meeting held in Preston in May
+  Details of events across the CRL area during Community Rail Week in June
+  Requests for ideas for Community Rail Week 2027
+  Success of the Yorkshire Dales Explorer and the new publicity of the Clitheroe Line that includes the YDE timetable
+  Details of projects both completed and ongoing including Forged in Steam, Tracks of Life, Bees in the Bunker and many more
+  An update on the work of the Education Team

Next was a presentation by Sarah Grimes (TfGM) covering the Bee Network including upcoming events and travel advice/ You can see this presentation here: Bee Network update from TfGM July & August 2026

Lastly was a short update by Mike Cliffe (LCCA) including the latest Local Transport Plan, Burnley Manchester Road Access for All project and further discussions on the Clitheroe to Hellifield route. The slide can be seen here: Lancashire Combined County Authority update 23.07.26
