CL/ELCRPs Quarterly Meeting October 2025

The joint Clitheroe Line & East Lancashire Community Rail Partnerships held their quarterly Management Group meeting online on Wednesday 22 October 2025.

Mike Cliffe, Chair of the joint CRPs welcomed everyone to the online meeting and asked if the minutes from the previous meeting held in July 2025 could be approved and these were accepted unanimously and there were no matters arising from the minutes.

Richard Watts, Secretary of the group gave an update on the Activity Plan and covering a number of points:

+  CRL has a new member of staff joining the company in early November, Beth Nolan will be helping develop projects in West Lancashire.

+  BBC Making a Difference Awards on 13th September 2025: Accrington’s Stations of Welcome were winners in the Community Group category.

+  At the National Rail Awards on 17th September 2025 – both Try The Train and St Anne’s Station were highly commended.

+  Noted that the Railway 200 Inspiration Train is to visit Blackpool North station in November

+  Noted that a new exhibition at Clitheroe Castle Museum is a tribute to local photographer Ken Roberts and runs until April 2026.
