Details of Northern’s Duo Fares, Advance Fares and Through Ticketing with DalesBus
Northern’s Duo Fares
Duo tickets (2 travel together for 25% discount) are available for destinations north of Clitheroe on Saturdays. DUO tickets are available from booking offices, ticket vending machines (TVMs) and online as e-tickets. Advance fare tickets
Advance fares are available on the Yorkshire Dales Explorer for stations between Rochdale & Clitheroe to/from destinations north of Clitheroe including Hellifield, Settle, Horton in Ribblesdale & Ribblehead. Availability of advance fares is limited so booking ahead is essential and remember you need to check that advance fares are available for both your outward and return journey.
Train & Bus Through Ticketing
Northern have introduced new through-ticketing destinations in the Yorkshire Dales, improving connectivity between rail and local bus services and providing easier access to some of the more remote areas across our network. These new destinations are Hawes and Ingleton.
The products are available as joint rail and bus tickets from all Northern ticket offices with the additional cost on top of the rail fare of £3 single & £6 return. These new fares are available to use on the DalesBus 80 service from Ribblehead to Hawes. (DalesBus 80 runs until 17 October 2026).
