South Fylde Art & Wildlife Project
Community Rail Lancashire is continuing to expand its education programme and has recently visited Heyhouses School in St. Anne’s.
Following on from the school visit and a trip to the new community hub at Preston station the school is working on a wildlife project with CRL and Parkview 4 U and their Forest school leader and artist Julie Norman.
The project will see 90 year 4 children creating environmentally friendly products and artwork that will show passengers coming into St. Anne’s-on-the-sea by train what there is on offer. The project began its first session in school on Tuesday 28th February with the children sketching their ideas. The children will be producing art work for new running in boards, beach themed bird boxes, colourful pebbles and planting new plants at the station. The project is expected to be completed and celebrated in the summer term!
