Back in February 2023 Community Rail Lancashire working with Clitheroe Castle Museum and helped by an ex CRL staff member Brian Haworth opened an exhibition in the Stewards Gallery at the museum called On Track – A Glimpse into Lancashire’s Railways Past and Present.

Nearly twelve months down the line the exhibition is due to close on Tuesday 30 January 2024. There are two events taking place before the exhibition closes, the first is called All Aboard with Ribble Valley Live Steamers on Saturday 20 January 2024 and is a chance to meet to the live steam model engineers that run the miniature railway at Edisford Bridge and see some of the locomotives in steam – full details here: https://events.apps.lancashire.gov.uk/w/webpage/event-details?eventid=274211.

The second event is on the last day before closure and is a talk and slide show called Railway Reminiscences from Lancashire and Beyond with Peter Fitton a local railway photographer. The event is taking place on Tuesday 30 January 2024 at 11:00 and booking is recommended and cost £3 including tea, coffee & biscuits.
