In recent times Giggleswick station in North Yorkshire has only ever had one waiting shelter on the Skipton/Leeds bound platform. This has meant that Morecambe bound passengers having to shelter from the weather on the wrong platform.
Northern Rail have kindly rectified this problem and during the last few days a new cantilever shelter has been installed on the Morecambe bound platform. The shelter constructed in anti-vandal materials has been made and installed by Macemain shelters.
