The project was designed to encourage more walking & cycling from the stations in Hyndburn using the Hyndburn Greenway, the Woodnook Trail and the disused railway line along Baxenden Bank. The project also included a photographic exhibition at Haworth Art Gallery, called Forged in Steam, (see https://communityraillancashire.co.uk/news/forged-in-steam-photo-exhibition-launched/) curated by local photographer Diane Muldowney timed to coincide with the Railway 200 celebrations.
The exhibition also included a number of public art sessions and session with local primary school children from schools local to the greenway and the Woodnook Trail. A new self-guided walking & cycling leaflet has been produced and this can be downloaded on this link: Hyndburn Greenway & Woodnook Trail
