CRL & CRPs Gain Reaccreditation

Following a meeting that took place on 15th October 2023 with representatives from Community Rail Lancashire, the Community Rail Network along with the Chairs from the four CRPs, we are pleased to announce that we have received a letter today from Adedoyin Ayoola, Stations and Community Rail Team in the Department of Transport to confirm that we have all received reaccreditation for the next twelve months.

Richard Watts, Chair Community Rail Lancashire, commented; “This is a fantastic achievement and a great recognition of the hard work undertaken by all involved in CRL. This has been a year of new challenges including working with Avanti West Coast on its Feel Good Field Trips initiative and Northern on the Try the Train project. We also worked with Lancashire County Council and other local authorities to commission a study into the future development of local and inter regional services that pass through East Lancashire and along the Ribble Valley. Accreditation helps us forge new partnerships and gives potential funders confidence that CRL is a competent organisation.”
