Explore The Clitheroe Line

Community Rail Lancashire is developing a new line guide for the Clitheroe Line . The leaflet will take you along the journey from the city of Manchester to the market town of Clitheroe at the heart of the Ribble Valley. Full details of the leaflet will be displayed here shortly.

There is a hourly train service between Manchester and Clitheroe including Sundays and a half hourly service between Manchester and Blackburn Mondays to Saturday. EcoEscapes is a brand new enterprise by the Forest of Bowland National Landscape.

Explore Lancashire by Rail

A series of films is being made for Community Rail Lancashire by a local creative film company Huckleberry Films which are designed to encourage people to Explore Lancashire by Rail. Two of the films cover the Clitheroe Line, the first is a walk around Turton/Entwistle & Wayoh Reservoirs and the second starts at Darwen station taking in the fantastic views of the Spitfire Memorial, Sunnyhurst, Bold Venture Park and Jubilee Tower.
