Friday 14 May 2021 saw Network Rail office staff using their volunteer leave days to help clear some undergrowth at Rishton station. Along with volunteers from the friends of station group they spent the morning cutting down dense shubbery and lopping low branches on adjacent tress

Organised and overseen by Network Rail’s Devon Wall, the group managed to clear the area in front of the fence line so that some artwork can be installed shortly.
