The Community Rail Lancashire Annual Report covering the period from 1st April 2020 to 31st March 2021 has just been published.
Richard Watts, Chair of Community Rail Lancashire commented:
“Welcome to the Annual Report for Community Rail Lancashire and the four Lancashire CRPs. 2020 has been a challenging year for all of us especially learning how to cope with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the many restrictions. For community rail this has been especially challenging and, as I say in the report, could have been a show stopper. Yet every challenge is also an opportunity and some interesting and positive developments came out of a very difficult year. School engagement went on line, the virtual education network was born, tales from DalesRail kept alive the love of rural recreation, we managed to launch two major projects and much, much more. The Annual Report showcases the many activities that took place in 2020. So, a big thank you to everyone who has helped keep community rail alive and to the CRL Team for rising to the challenge and exceeding expectations. I hope you enjoy the Annual Report”.
