The South Fylde Line between Preston and Blackpool South will be treated to a music train this coming Friday.
The South Fylde Line CRP is proud to announce that it is running a Music Train as part of the St Anne’s Music & Arts Festival. The Festival organisers have managed to secure the services of Tony Benedict a locally-based singer of the ‘blues’ and a well-known ‘crooner’ to entertain passengers.
The music train will depart Preston on Friday 26th July at 17:34 and make its way to Blackpool South, Tony will entertain passengers to Blackpool and then back to St. Annes-on-the-Sea. To see a full press release click the link here: Music on the Train.

Tony Benedict is a founder member of the Kings of Swing. Born in Leeds and now living in St Anne’s on Sea, Tony won the Leisure Parcs ‘Newcomer of the Year’ award in 2002 for his work singing with the Blackpool Tower Big Band. He regular features in local night spots and is a very popular and well known performer.
This ‘Music on the Train’ event is in partnership with the Music Festival organisers, Arriva Rail North, Community Rail Lancashire, the South Fylde Line CRP and backed by the Friends of Station groups along the South Fylde Line.
