Recently volunteers from St Annes-on-the-Sea station were invited to a ‘Thank You’ event by Fylde’s Mayor Cllr. Frank Andrews. Also in attendance were Fylde Council staff and representatives from other volunteer groups across the Fylde.

Deputy Council leader Cllr. Richard Redcliffe paid tribute to the many volunteers across the borough and invited each group to say a few words about their particular group.
The Mayor thanked everyone for the efforts they put in across all walks of life to make Fylde the great place it is.

Chat at the table
Tony Ford, accompanied by relative new volunteers Ann Sowey and Denise Leyland, gave a brief description of the work that goes on at St Anne’s station and had the assembled group laughing when he said how important it was to have a chat mid-morning over a brew, biscuits & cake.
The event proved to be a good opportunity to do some valuable networking and to pitch for new volunteers.
