More Trains From 16 May 2021

In line with most train operators Northern Railways are introducing more trains into the their timetables from Sunday 16th May 2021. This will help with the return to rail as the last of the Covid restrictions are lifted.

As far as Community Rail Lancashire is concerned the main changes are:

+  Return to an hourly weekday service from Blackburn to Manchester via Todmorden

+  The ‘cross-Pennine’ service returns to its full Blackpool North to York pattern from Monday 17th May 2021

+  Gaps filled on Lancashire Triangle routes – Preston to Ormskirk, Blackpool South to Preston and Preston to Colne

+  Hourly weekday services from Southport to Manchester Victoria and Southport to Manchester Piccadilly

+  Bentham Line (Leeds to Morecambe) sees six trains per day with four through to Morecambe

+  DalesRail service from Blackpool via Clitheroe & Settle to Carlisle on Sundays until 12th September 2021
