Sunday 13 June 2021 sees the second Sunday of the guided walks programme with three walks in total, starting at Settle (moderately easy), Dent (moderate) and Carlisle (easy stroll) – details below.

 

Walk 1 – a moderate D walk of 10 miles Alight Dent return Garsdale.

Dent – Coal Road – Galloway Gate – Cowgill Head Bridge – Cowgill Wold – Sikes Pits Brae – Sikes Pits Gill – Middle o’ Moor End – Thwaite Bridge – Cotterdale Plantation – Yore House – Moorcock Inn – Garsdale Station.

Walk 2 a moderately easy E walk of 8 miles Alight and return Settle.

Settle – Stainforth – Langcliffe – Settle.

Settle Station – Simon Clarke

Walk 3 – an easy stroll G walk of 1 mile/ 1.5 hours Alight and return Carlisle.

Carlisle curiosities: Well! I never noticed that before! Stroll through the city centre spotting curiosities, ending up at Tullie House Museum (and café).
